On January 28, the Tabernacle of Glory leader also received the Unsung Hero Award at the 3rd Annual Mayor’s Gala in North Miami.
Pastor Gregory Toussaint was honored on January 16 during the MLK Dream Movers Celebration. The Tabernacle of Glory senior pastor received a plaque during a ceremony that took place at the 93rd St Community Baptist Church 2330 NW 93rd St, Miami, FL 33147.
January 16 was Martin Luther King Day, and on this day many community leaders, whether political or spiritual, were recognized during a special ceremony in Miami for their contribution to the progress of the community. Among them was the TG leader, Gregory Toussaint.
Were also celebrated other community leaders and elected officials such as Broward Sheriff Scott Israel, Dania Beach Mayor Tamara James, Pastor Joe C. Johnson, Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert III, Chief Daniel J. Oates, Mayor Barbara Sharief, Miami Beach commissioner Michael Grieco, Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez, Bishop Victor T. Curry and so on.
The ceremony was punctuated with musical performances by well-known Gospel artists Tracy R. Harris, Christina Robinson, and Byron Cage.
The event MLK Dream Movers Celebration was organized by The Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), an African-American civil rights organization founded by Martin Luther King Jr himself. The event’s goal was to commemorate the life and legacy of Pastor King while honoring community leaders. We also noticed the presence of the Chairman of the Miami-Dade County Commission Jean Monestime. The ceremony was hosted by ABC’s Calvin Hughes.
Unsung Hero Award
On January 28, Pastor Gregory Toussaint was one of the honorees of the 3rd Annual Mayor’s Gala that took place at the FIU Kovens conference Center. Pastor Greg received the Unsung Hero Award from North Miami Mayor, Smith Joseph.
